Riding for the Disabled (RDA) centres in the UK

According to Saddl's directory, there are 92 UK Riding for the Disabled (RDA) centres currently listed. RDA is a federation of around 500 independent groups across the UK, supported by 13,700 volunteers and 1,700 qualified coaches, serving over 26,500 disabled adults and children each year.

RDA is the UK's largest charity supporting disabled people through equine activity. Most RDA groups operate through host yards rather than owning their own facility - a riding school or livery yard provides the horses and arena, and the RDA group runs the sessions with its own volunteers and coaches. Activities range from ridden lessons to carriage driving, vaulting and ground-based equine-assisted learning. The RDA's national standards cover safeguarding, instructor training and horse selection.
