About this yard
White Rocks Farm is a BHS approved riding centre near Sevenoaks specialising in Western riding, set into a wooded hillside on the Greensand Ridge with remarkable views across the Weald of Kent. Run by Sue Woods, working with horses, dogs and other animals for over 30 years. Individual and group lessons for all ages. Lessons £25 per 30 minutes. Teaches up to competition level with two youth members riding for the British Team. Clubmark approved centre running a Junior Western Riding Club and the only Western Riding for the Disabled group in the country. Rider weight limit 12 stone. Run by Sue Woods, who has worked with horses and animals for over 30 years, the farm holds Clubmark accreditation, runs a Junior Western Riding Club, and operates the only Western Riding for the Disabled group in the country — the gentle nature of Western riding and deep, secure Western saddle seat make it well suited to riders with additional needs. A previous youth member has ridden for the British team.

Standard guidance for equestrian yards in the UK. Check with your yard if you're unsure.
A correctly fitted hat to current safety standards (PAS 015 or VG1). Bicycle helmets are not permitted. Hats are available to hire, usually reserved for first-time riders.
Boots with a small heel, riding boots, walking boots or wellies all work. Trainers and flat-soled shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.
Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
