Red Wharf Bay provides three miles of flat sand at low tide on Anglesey's quieter eastern shore, with views across to the Snowdonia peaks at dusk. Stag Lodge Stables borders Richmond Park directly — 2,500 acres of royal parkland with around 650 red and fallow deer that have roamed here since Charles I enclosed the land in 1637. Hacks run along the park boundary on permitted bridleways, with the deer a reliable presence on morning rides. Stag Lodge runs 70-plus horses across seven arenas and takes riders of all abilities from age three. One of the most distinctive natural settings reachable on public transport from central London.
