About this yard
Bowlers Riding School has been teaching horse riding in Formby, Merseyside, since 1941, making it one of the longest-established riding schools in the region. The centre holds both BHS and ABRS approval and maintains a string of around 40 horses and ponies across approximately 8 acres, with group and private lessons available for children from age 3 and adults at all levels. The indoor school measures approximately 45×15m and the outdoor arena 65×20m, both fitted with large mirrors and separate viewing areas for spectators and parents. A Riding for the Disabled group also operates from the centre, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to inclusive access. Over eight decades, Bowlers has built the kind of local heritage and loyalty that makes it an anchor equestrian venue on Merseyside.
