About this yard
Boltby Trekking and Trail Riding Centre is based on a working farm in the village of Boltby on the western edge of the North York Moors National Park. From this position riders access a wide variety of bridleways, forestry tracks, hills and moorland trails. Two double-occupancy studio suites available on-site for riding-led holidays, each with private entrance, kitchenette and en-suite. Full-day trail rides cover meaningful mileage. Hats provided. Minimum age 5.

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
