About this yard
Park Farm Riding School is a small, smartly kept ABRS+ recognised and BHS Pony Club Centre in Preston, near Canterbury, providing extracurricular riding since 2009 specifically for children aged 4-17, the centre does not teach adults. Run by Anne and Monique, French is spoken, and the school welcomes both English and Continental children, including school groups and residential summer camps. Alongside riding lessons, there is a popular Stable Management Club with training towards the ABRS Helpers' Certificate, and preparation for the BHS Horse Ownership Certificate (unmounted) for adults. Maximum rider weight 80kg.

What to wear

A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
