Bedgebury Equestrian Centre occupies a beautiful position within the Bedgebury Park Estate near Goudhurst in the Kent High Weald. The venue offers two covered arenas with professional Andrews Bowen waxed-sand surfaces, available for hourly or daily hire, with show jumps available for a small additional charge. Dressage boards and letters are also provided. The centre hosts British Dressage and unaffiliated dressage competitions, interschools showjumping and dressage, hunter trials, and evening showjumping throughout the year. Full livery is available with individualised care, including training, schooling, and sales livery options. Horses and riders benefit from direct hacking access onto Bedgebury Forest trails, alarmed yard security, covered grooming bays, auto-waterers in stables, individual paddocks and ample HGV horsebox parking.

What to wear

Riding helmet

A correctly fitted hat to current safety standards (PAS 015 or VG1). Bicycle helmets are not permitted. Hats are available to hire, usually reserved for first-time riders.

Footwear

Boots with a small heel, riding boots, walking boots or wellies all work. Trainers and flat-soled shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.

Clothing

Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.

Hair & jewellery

Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
