Kirkfields Equestrian Centre has been operating since 1976 from Lower Blidworth near Mansfield, positioned on the edge of Sherwood Forest. As an ABRS+ approved establishment, the centre offers riding lessons, show jumping, dressage, and cross-country training to a high standard, with hacking directly into Sherwood Forest among its most distinctive draws. Pony Club activities and regular shows provide competitive and social opportunities throughout the year. The centre provides indoor and outdoor schools, show jumping and cross-country courses, lunge lessons, and jumping clinics, alongside livery services. A certificated campsite and Byron Lodge self-contained accommodation make it a viable destination for equestrian holiday breaks and residential riding camps. The combination of quality facilities and the Sherwood Forest setting makes it one of the more memorable equestrian venues in the East Midlands.

Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.
Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
Clients arriving in unsuitable clothing or footwear may not be permitted to ride, for their own safety. If in doubt, contact the yard before your visit.
