About this yard
Hope Meadows Equine Assisted Recovery CIC is a not-for-profit organisation at South Hykeham, near Lincoln, offering equine-assisted mental health support for adults and children aged 4 and up. Its core services are Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, the Connected Equine Programme, and Alternative Provision for children not in traditional education, delivered by a team of qualified counsellors, therapists and instructors. Both ridden and non-ridden sessions are available.
Support is offered for a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, stress, depression, eating disorders, trauma and neurodivergence. No referral, diagnosis or prior horse experience is needed, and most clients self-refer by booking an initial assessment. What to wear

A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
