P and R Equestrian Centre is a fully licensed, family-run riding school in Friskney, Lincolnshire, between Skegness and Boston, run by Pearl Massey. Set in 10 acres with 9 brick stables, it offers hacking, lessons from first ride to jumping, Pony Club, leisure driving lessons and full livery, for children from age 3 and adults of all abilities. The centre holds an RDA Accessibility Mark and offers equine assisted therapy.
Facilities include two outdoor arenas (60m x 20m and 40m x 20m) with show jumps, and miles of quiet country lanes and open fields for hacking.

What to wear

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
