A relaxed riding stay at Lipizzaner Lodge, a boutique guesthouse in the village of Landol near Postojna in the Slovenian Karst, within reach of the famous Lipica stud, home of the Lipizzaner. The lodge keeps its own Lipizzaner horses and its resident instructor teaches riders from complete beginners upwards, including on a mare schooled to Grand Prix. Between rides there is a cafe, a sauna and a little cinema, and the caves and karst country of southern Slovenia to explore.

Days can mix a riding lesson or a ride on the Lipizzaners with the sauna, the cafe and the little cinema at the lodge, and trips out to the Lipica stud, the Postojna and Skocjan caves and the karst villages nearby.
