A Marwari horse safari across Rajasthan, run by Ajeet and Caroline of Horse India, riding the region's native curved-eared Marwari horses between the blue city of Jodhpur, the lake city of Udaipur and the pink city of Jaipur. Their rides run from 8 to 13 days and take in the best of the region: Leopards & Lakes, Forts & Palaces, and Fairs & Festivals. Days cover around 25 to 30 km through countryside, villages, forts and temples, four to six hours in the saddle, with nights split between tented camps and heritage hotels. You can join a date-specific scheduled group ride or arrange an 'Anytime' itinerary to suit you.
You should be a fit, balanced rider, comfortable at all paces for four to six hours a day, as the Marwari are forward-going and the days are long. Some experience on lively horses helps.
