Wellington Riding
About this yard
Wellington Riding is an award-winning BHS approved equestrian centre set on the Duke of Wellington's Stratfield Saye Estate in north Hampshire. It has built a reputation as one of the leading training centres in southern England, combining top-tier coaching with serious competition facilities across dressage, showjumping and cross-country.
The riding school offers lessons for children aged 5 and above and adults of all ages, there is no upper age limit. Beginners start with private lessons before being placed into an appropriate group. Lesson formats include 1-hour group sessions, 45-minute semi-private and private lessons, and 30-minute private slots. All instruction is delivered by a team of fully qualified, professional coaches.
Facilities at the estate centre are extensive: multiple indoor and outdoor schools, a cross-country course and direct access to hacking through the estate grounds. The centre also hosts a weekly Riding for the Disabled (RDA) group, running on Thursday mornings. School and university group packages are available, with instructors able to visit your venue for group sessions.
