About this yard
The Chestnut Stables is a small, family-run riding school in the village of Pott Row on the outskirts of King's Lynn, established in the late 1980s. It is fully licensed and insured and holds a 5-star rating from the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. A wide range of ponies and horses means riders can be accommodated from age 2 upwards, across all abilities, in small group or private lessons with structured progress tracking. Maximum rider weight 85kg.
Booking notes: you must register before booking, and registrations cannot be completed over the phone. Same-day bookings are not accepted. Groups of three or more should email at least 7 days in advance so extra staff can be arranged; bookings for two or fewer are made online.

What to wear

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
