Stainsby Stud Farm, Livery and Riding School is an ABRS+ approved riding establishment in Stockton-On-Tees, County Durham. ABRS+ approval means the centre has been independently assessed by the Association of British Riding Schools for its standards of horse care, instruction and safety. Established in 1992 and run by Bev Hutchinson, situated conveniently near Thornaby town centre. A purpose-built stable yard offers riding lessons for all ages and abilities, taught by instructors qualified up to BHS level, on experienced, well-schooled horses and ponies, alongside pony parties and stable management courses. Lessons are held in the purpose-built arena and outside on the surrounding land.

What to wear

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
