About this yard

Ross Nye Stables is one of only two commercial riding establishments still operating inside central London, based at 8 Bathurst Mews in W2. Established in 1965, it's the longest-running riding school in central London and a Pony Club centre. Lessons and escorted hacks take place in Hyde Park, including along the historic Rotten Row and the sand tracks around the park's perimeter. The yard is family-run and well-loved by regulars, with a Pony Club for younger riders, an adult riding club, jumping events and an annual horse show. Boots and hats are provided. Booking by phone or email. Riders must be aged 6 or over. Both one-off "bucket list" hacks around Hyde Park and regular lessons for all experience levels are offered, horses and riding have been part of Hyde Park since Henry VIII used it as a hunting ground.
