North Cray & Sidcup Riding School has been operating for over 30 years on Parsonage Lane in Sidcup, running as a family-owned yard with a strong local reputation for consistent, engaged instruction. The principal instructor Giles is consistently praised in reviews for his thoroughness and eye for detail, a quality that shows in lesson structure.
Group lessons are available at multiple levels from complete beginner through to advanced. Beginners need leaders and helpers; advanced lessons require riders to walk, trot and canter independently. Groups run with a maximum of 8 to 12 riders. Group hacks take place on Saturdays and Sundays at the same time as group lessons, with riders who can walk and trot unaided, an assessment lesson may be required before your first hack. Private hacks are escorted and can be booked weekdays between 10am and 1pm.
Private lessons run on weekdays during term time from 9am to 3pm only, not at weekends or after school. Semi-private lessons for 2 to 4 riders run on weekdays between 9am and 3pm. Birthday parties and pony day experiences are available, and the school holds regular shows for livery and riding school clients. Beginners are not accepted on Sundays.
