About this yard
Moat Farm Riding Centre is a small, family-run children's riding school in Lawshall, between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury in Suffolk. The same family has lived at Moat Farm since 1987, specialising in livery and competition horse training before opening the riding school in 2006. BHS and Pony Club approved, it caters for riders from age 5, with a particular focus on confidence-building for nervous riders and groups capped at 3 riders for individual attention. Instructors are BHS trained and hold UKCC Level 2 coaching certificates.
Facilities include indoor, outdoor and grass arenas, a showjumping course and a cross-country course. Regular Pony Club sessions, Pony Days and an annual camp are held, alongside pony parties.

What to wear
