About this yard
Gooseham Barton Stables has been running on a 50-acre holding on the North Cornwall-North Devon coast near Bude since 1974. The yard is BHS approved and offers riding for all ages and levels, with horses suiting beginners and experienced riders alike, in English or Western tack. Four self-catering cottages on the holding sleep groups of 4 to 10 and are well placed for combining riding with a coastal stay. Hour-long rides take riders out across the unspoilt clifftop and inland countryside.

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
