About this yard
Dean Riding Stables at Parracombe on Exmoor National Park is a small, friendly BHS and ABRS approved yard. Ideal for relaxed, confidence-building lessons and guided hacks with sweeping moorland views. Personal instruction and well-schooled cobs and ponies keep things calm and safe. Outdoor arena and direct bridleway access to the moor. Small well-kept yard with reliable school horses. Confidence-first instruction for new and nervous riders.

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.

Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
