About this yard
Croft Farm is a family-run private livery yard between Harpenden and Wheathampstead, set in 40 acres beside the River Lea with a network of bridleways and commons. The yard has 24-hour supervised and secure facilities with electric gates, a 40×60m floodlit school, year-round turnout and good road links to the A1 and M1. Not a public riding school.

A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
