Coworth Park Equestrian Centre

Coworth Park Equestrian Centre sits within the grounds of the five-star Coworth Park hotel near Ascot, a Dorchester Collection property set across 240 acres of Berkshire parkland bordering Windsor Great Park. It is the only hotel in the UK with its own working polo fields, managed by Guards Polo Club, alongside a genuinely serious equestrian centre with purpose-built stabling for up to 40 horses, an all-weather gallop track, and direct access to bridleways across the estate. Riding is overseen by a British Horse Society-qualified team and covers lessons, hacking, dressage and show jumping for riders of all abilities, plus polo tuition through the on-site Guards Polo Academy. Experiences are bookable as gift vouchers by anyone, not restricted to hotel guests.

For proposals, anniversaries and other occasions worth marking, the centre runs a Signature Champagne Celebration Ride: a tailored one-hour ride through the estate followed by a glass of Champagne at The Barn restaurant and a photo with the horse, from £155. A standard one-hour riding experience is available from £125. Younger guests can join pony cuddling sessions, pony experiences and equestrian birthday parties. Guests bringing their own horse can book an "Ultimate Horse Check-In", with assigned stabling, a welcome polo ball, a post-ride aromatherapy wash and a hoof-oil finish. The estate dates to 1776, with the polo fields added by Galen Weston in the 1980s; Dorchester Collection acquired the property in 2001 and reopened it as a hotel in 2010.
