About this yard
Cottage Riding Stables is a small BHS-led school at Church Lane, Moorend, Hambrook, on the north-eastern edge of Bristol, sharing the site with Cottage Kennels & Cattery. Lessons are available for adults and children from age 4, in both group and private formats, with BHS qualified instructors providing the tuition. The yard is open Monday to Saturday in two daily windows (9.30-11am and 4-5.30pm). Closed Sundays.

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
