About this yard
Brocks Farm Riding Centre is a British Horse Society approved, Test Valley licensed and insured riding school and livery yard in the picturesque village of Longstock near Stockbridge, in the Test Valley. Lessons run for riders from age 4 upwards, taught by two long-standing instructors, with an emphasis on planned, structured lessons that still keep a strong fun element, small children in particular are taught carefully, with games and varied exercises week to week. Riding lessons, hacking and livery are all offered.

A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
