About this yard
Aescwood Farm has been teaching children to ride since 1981 and runs as a dedicated children's school, with lessons typically running from age 4 to around 12. The yard holds BHS approval and a 5-star animal activity licence from Buckinghamshire Council. Indoor and outdoor schools sit alongside an exclusive ride through Hodgemoor Woods. Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.
Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
Clients arriving in unsuitable clothing or footwear may not be permitted to ride, for their own safety. If in doubt, contact the yard before your visit.
