About this yard

Aescwood Farm has been teaching children to ride since 1981 and runs as a dedicated children's school, with lessons typically running from age 4 to around 12. The yard holds BHS approval and a 5-star animal activity licence from Buckinghamshire Council. Indoor and outdoor schools sit alongside an exclusive ride through Hodgemoor Woods. Children are taught to care for the ponies as well as ride them, with progress certificates awarded along the way. Holiday Fun Days, Horse Shows with rosettes, and birthday parties round out the programme. Founded by Audrey Holbrook; the school runs Saturday and Sunday mornings only.
