TX Ranch straddles the Montana/Wyoming border either side of the Pryor Mountains, bordering both the historical Will James Ranch and the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range. A genuine working cattle ranch of over 30,000 acres, owned by the Tillett family since 1895 (131 years), running authentic open-range cattle drives and working cattle activities Monday through Friday. Lodging is in range tipis with cots at the Lone Wolf cow camp, guests meet in Billings, Montana on the Sunday before.
Horses are chosen for each guest according to experience, so a range of riders is welcome. That said, this is genuine ranch work with long days in a Western saddle and real cattle to move, so a reasonable level of fitness and a willingness to muck in make all the difference.

This is a real working week, not a dude ranch show: cattle are moved and worked Monday to Friday, out across open range from the Lone Wolf cow camp. You ride the day with the cowboys, camp in range tipis with cots, and eat together around camp. Guests gather in Billings on the Sunday before and are driven out to the ranch.

Transfers: Free transport from Billings on the Sunday before the week; guests are met in Billings in the late afternoon
Fly to Billings via a US hub such as Denver or Salt Lake City, then the ranch collects you.
