Austria's first private Lipizzaner stud, in the heart of the Wilder Kaiser
A riding holiday at Stanglwirt, regarded as the first private Lipizzaner stud in Austria, founded 1985, with 24 purebred Lipizzans. The riding programme covers beginners from age 8 through advanced riders, with pony riding for younger children, plus carriage rides through the Wilder Kaiser region.
The stud caters to all levels: complete beginners and children from age 8 can learn, while more experienced riders school on the Lipizzaners or ride out. Riding is arranged around your ability and the hotel's programme.

Riding is one part of a stay at Stanglwirt, a well-known Tyrolean hotel beneath the Wilder Kaiser. Days can mix lessons and hacks on the Lipizzaners with the hotel's spa, pools and mountain walks, and there is pony riding for children and carriage rides through the countryside. It suits families and mixed-ability groups well.
