About this yard
Upper Hattons Stables at Pendeford Hall Lane, Coven near Wolverhampton is an ABRS+ approved riding school and livery yard. All lessons are taught to ABRS standard, with weekly classes for every level and private tuition tailored to individual needs. The centre supports the RDA and runs horse management courses alongside riding.
Facilities include a 20m x 40m indoor school and a 60m x 40m floodlit outdoor arena with a waterproof, never-flooding surface, a full set of competition show jumps and dressage boards, plus miles of off-road hacking. Qualified staff are on site 24 hours a day, with long-term partnerships with vets, farriers and dentists. Full, part, working and DIY/assisted livery are available. Free parking on site.
Note: a 36-hour cancellation policy applies to lessons.

What to wear
Standard guidance for equestrian yards in the UK. Check with your yard if you're unsure.
A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
