About this yard
The Ramblers Riding Club and Pony Parties is a newly built, ABRS+ approved equestrian facility at Silverbirch Farm on Eastwood Rise, Leigh-on-Sea. It is licensed to provide riding for adults and children from as young as 2, with individual and group lessons, Groom & Ride sessions and hacking through nearby woods.
Facilities include an outdoor surfaced arena, a classroom, tea shack, party room and a petting farm. The centre is well known for pony parties, both on site and mobile, bringing ponies (and "mobile unicorns") to homes, fetes, weddings, charity events and private parties, as well as school visits, nursing homes, day centres and hospitals as therapy pony visits.
Equine Assisted Services are also offered, including therapy, SEN sessions, alternative provision and support for home schooling.

What to wear

A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
