About this yard
The Sussex Polo Club is based near Crawley Down in West Sussex and is widely regarded as the home of low-goal polo in the South East. It has four grounds (three boarded), a stick-and-ball field, clubhouse, pony hire, coaching, livery and grooms accommodation. With over 100 playing members it is one of the most active clubs in the region.

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
