About this yard
Old Worcester Riding School Stables established in current site since 2004, set on the Worcestershire and Gloucestershire borders with private access to over 600 acres of private open rolling farmland. Fully accredited National Pony Club Centre and National Riding for the Disabled Centre. Indoor arena (rare for the area) and superb hacking across nearby fields and along the banks of the river Severn. Teaching children from age 4. Carriage driving and side-saddle lessons. Pub rides and picnic hacks. Reformulated 2025 offering: full and part livery for loan horses and ponies on-site including access to the on-site Children's Saddle Club. Livery loan scheme for children aged 8-18. The centre also runs a children's Saddle Club and offers loan livery for the on-site horses and ponies.

Standard guidance for equestrian yards in the UK. Check with your yard if you're unsure.
A correctly fitted hat to current safety standards (PAS 015 or VG1). Bicycle helmets are not permitted. Hats are available to hire, usually reserved for first-time riders.
Boots with a small heel, riding boots, walking boots or wellies all work. Trainers and flat-soled shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.
Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
