About this yard

Founded in 2013 by Ian Stark OBE and his wife Jenny at Greenhill Farm, this BHS approved equestrian centre sits on 500 acres of hill farm in the Scottish Borders near Selkirk, offering panoramic views across some of the most dramatic riding countryside in the UK. Ian won three Badminton titles, including a unique first-and-second finish in the same year in 1988, and took four Olympic silver medals across his eventing career, a record beaten only once in Olympic history. Around 30 horses and ponies support a busy programme of lessons and hacking across six days a week.

The indoor school, named the Sir Wattie School after Ian's most famous horse, is a 60x27m arena with a Martin Collins Ecotrack surface, the same specification as Olympia and Royal Windsor. The centre hosts competitions and training days across all disciplines and is one of the most prestigious equestrian venues in Scotland.
