About this yard
Heartfelt Connections CIC operates from Homestead Equestrian Centre in Mercaston, Derbyshire, offering a holistic approach to riding that focuses on communication, groundwork and building a genuine relationship with the horse, alongside standard one-to-one and small group lessons. Its Equine Facilitated Learning Therapy programme gives children and adults who find conventional speaking-based therapy difficult a safe, quiet outdoor space to work with horses. Homestead Equestrian Centre also runs a Youth Development Programme supporting vulnerable children with confidence and communication skills, and offers Horse Agility instruction.
Facilities include an indoor barn, a 20m x 40m outdoor arena, a play field and a hack track.
