About this yard
Hayfield Equiworld Club is a non-profit members' club within Hazlehead Park, Aberdeen, offering pleasure riding and tuition for riders of all standards from age 3, at reasonable prices. On site for over 60 years, with manager John Crawford in post for 45 of them, Hayfield now serves three generations of the same families.
One of Scotland's best-equipped equestrian centres, with two indoor schools (50m x 30m and 30m x 20m), three outdoor schools, a mini cross-country course, a showjumping paddock, a polo pitch, and an on-site saddlery shop and coffee shop. Beach riding is available alongside woodland hacks through Hazlehead Park. Discounted rates are offered to local schoolchildren.

What to wear

A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
