Harringworth Manor Stables at Wakerley Road, Harringworth near Corby is a fun, friendly family environment established for over 30 years (since 1984). Situated in the Welland Valley, short distance from Corby, Stamford, Rutland, Uppingham and Kettering. 70 years collective experience. Lessons in multiple disciplines from English to Western riding styles. Teach first-time riders through to advanced. Flatwork, basic tuition, jumping. Adapted lessons for less-abled clients. Miles of off-road hacking through hills, fields, forests and lakes. Pub rides, picnic rides and long hacks. "Horsing Around" pony party service. Fully licensed and insured. River, a purebred Quarter Horse born and bred at the yard, was a champion stallion at national Quarter Horse shows in his early days and now teaches lessons and hacks out at 18 years old.

Standard guidance for equestrian yards in the UK. Check with your yard if you're unsure.
A correctly fitted hat to current safety standards (PAS 015 or VG1). Bicycle helmets are not permitted. Hats are available to hire, usually reserved for first-time riders.
Boots with a small heel, riding boots, walking boots or wellies all work. Trainers and flat-soled shoes are not permitted for safety reasons.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs must be covered, no vest tops or shorts. Jackets and coats should be fastened securely. Waterproofs are recommended for outdoor lessons.
Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail before putting on your helmet. All jewellery must be removed before riding.
