About this yard
Eat, Sleep, Ride is an ABRS+ approved riding school and registered Scottish charity at Heugh Head Farm, Lamberton, in East Berwickshire, five miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed. It offers riding lessons and hacking to the public on well-schooled horses and ponies, alongside a wider social mission supporting people affected by mental health difficulties, abuse, deprivation and addiction through equine-guided, holistic groundwork.
The solar-powered site includes a sensory garden and event space, and hosts pony camps, beach rides, leadership and team-building workshops (including its HERD Dynamics programme), clinics and competitions. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am-7pm, with wheelchair access throughout.

From £50
Pony camp/kids' day: half day (10:30am-1:30pm, one ride) £50; full day (10:30am-3:30pm, two rides) £65. Subsidised places available on request. Contact for standard lesson pricing.

What to wear
Standard guidance for equestrian yards in the UK. Check with your yard if you're unsure.
A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
