About this yard
Dorset Polo Club and its Dorset Polo Academy offer structured polo tuition for players of all levels from complete beginners through to competitive riders. Based near Poole in Dorset, the academy's qualified HPA instructors teach across a wide variety of horses suited to different levels, meaning no previous polo or riding experience is required to start. Beginner courses cover the fundamentals of polo technique on foot and on horseback before progressing to chukka play.
Group and private lessons are available, and the club runs a full outdoor season from late spring to September on grass pitches. Contact the club directly for current lesson pricing and availability.

Founded 2011 by Jemima and Rob Brockett. Address: Lytchett Heath Farm, Huntick Road, Poole, Dorset BH16 6BB (15 minutes from Sandbanks). HPA-affiliated. Riding Establishment Licence No 10090. Pony Club Centre. Schools and Pony Club groups £50/lesson (90 minutes, includes pony hire). All-weather arena. Private one-to-one lessons, group lessons (beginners to handicap players), 2-3 day intensive courses for groups of 3+. Beginners welcome - no riding experience required. All equipment included.
