About this yard
Broom Farm Riding School is an ABRS approved, fully insured riding school in Stevenston, North Ayrshire, run with a relaxed, friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Riders of all ages and abilities are welcomed, and the school has built a loyal, multi-generational following over the years.
Alongside lessons, the school runs ABRS exams and testing, loan-a-pony events, pony camps, gymkhanas and fun ride days. Volunteers aged 12+ are welcomed to help at weekend lessons in exchange for training and occasional lessons.

What to wear
Standard guidance for equestrian yards in the UK. Check with your yard if you're unsure.
A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.
Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.
Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.
Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
