About this yard

A family-run riding school established in 1993 in Conwy, North Wales, close to Llandudno and the Conwy Valley. All instructors are BHS qualified. Lessons for riders of all ages and abilities across all disciplines. Riders must be aged 7 and above. Lessons run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, in private, semi-private (2-3 riders) or group (up to 5) format, on either your own horse or one of the centre's well-tempered horses. Prices are on application, and payment is cash or cheque only.

What to wear

Standard guidance for equestrian yards in the UK. Check with your yard if you're unsure.

Riding helmet

A hat to a current recognised safety standard. Requirements can vary, so check with the yard before you ride.

Footwear

Sturdy boots with a small heel. Trainers and flat, smooth-soled shoes are not suitable for safety reasons. Check with the yard for their exact requirements.

Clothing

Close-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes. Shoulders and legs should be covered, and waterproofs are worth having for outdoor lessons. Check with the yard if you are unsure.

Hair & jewellery

Long hair should be tied back before putting on your hat, and jewellery removed before riding.
