Five days crossing Wales on horseback, from the Brecon border to the Atlantic coast on Welsh Section D Cobs, with all accommodation and meals included.
The flagship Trans-Wales Trail is a five-day, six-night crossing of Wales from the Brecon Beacons to the Atlantic coast. Riders cover between fifteen and twenty-five miles each day on registered Welsh Section D Cobs, with routes threading through mountain passes, river valleys, ancient drovers'' roads and the rural Welsh landscape that connects the border to the sea. Accommodation and all meals are included throughout, with luggage transferred between overnight stops at small inns and guest houses along the route. No two nights are in the same place. Groups are guided throughout by experienced trail leaders familiar with every mile of the route. The pace is active, this is a proper crossing, not a meander, but the riding is varied enough to suit confident intermediate riders and upwards.
