About this yard

Matchmoor Riding Centre sits on open moorland above Horwich, just below Winter Hill and adjacent to the Rivington country park estate. The elevated position means riders can hack directly from the yard across proper moorland terrain, making it one of the most scenic hacking destinations in Greater Manchester. The centre holds BHS and ABRS membership and offers lessons in an outdoor arena for both adults and children. The moorland setting appeals particularly to those who want structured tuition alongside meaningful off-road riding.
